La Damoiselle Élue. Music Claude Debussy. Choreography Sara Pardo
The costumes created for La damoiselle élue correspond to a neo-classical proposal inspired by the same sources of its musical composition.
The stage has two levels – the lower for the choir and the higher for the soloist.
A huge semi diagonal curtain crosses the stage, dividing and ranking the performance space. It starts as a tip from a point in the upper left corner and covers the soloist’s area, creating a triangle behind her, upholstering the platform where she stands and finally descending to the stage floor hiding the choir behind. A backlight on the right side displays the chorus.
